The most devastating and culpable scandal ever to reach State College.

It's the darkest time in State College and for the Penn State university that I have ever felt in my life. As a born and bread home grown State College native, I've prided myself and my community on being respected and appreciated. The previous week has crushed the community and myself to measures beyond comprehension, and to limits that I didn't believe were possible. The most recent interview with Jerry Sandusky and Bob Costas is the icing on the cake for my disgust. A man and the allegations put forth towards him are overwhelming, and for him to outright claim innocents is what makes me sick. Someone needs to act like a man in this unimaginable dilema, including the university, the second mile, the police, and anyone who was privy to this disgusting act on humanity. There is a massive cover up going on in State College that makes me ashamed to even speak of Penn State or State College. Please take consideration of this interview with Bob Costas and Jerry Sandusky, some of the content may be upsetting. I know it was disheartening to me...

Win number 409!

So I didn't get a chance to go to the game, but I was able to watch most of it. I kind of wished that I didn't watch the game the whole way through, because it was really ugly. For 58 minutes Penn State couldn't do anything right, but in those last two minutes Penn State showed up and won it for Joe Pa. McGloin's first good pass was in that final drive to an injured Moye and 80 yards later at the end of the game Penn State got the game winning touchdown. The place was going crazy and wouldn't you know it Penn State has a perfect record in the Big Ten. I only wish I could have been there when the crowd went crazy. I would've been going wild right along with them. WE ARE PENN STATE!

Look both ways?

I really do hate driving downtown sometimes. These students don't pay attention to oncoming traffic or they're usually wearing headphones. Even if they're paying attention they're complete jerks about crossing, especially when alcohol is involved. A prime example is a student who just got hit downtown recently, because you guessed it, he wasn't paying attention.

Penn State vs. Illinois

This weekend might be the first time where I don't have to work, and I might be able to finally go to a game. I haven't been able to all season and it's starting to get to me. Every Saturday I've been listening to the games over the radio. I guess this is okay, but I'm finally getting really pumped up for a potentially awesome weekend. Tailgates, Football, and Nittany Lions, oh my, I'm excited and maybe this video will get you pumped up too.

Guest Blogger: Will Heckman on Johnny Au's blog State College Issues

I enjoy following Johnny's blog because being a State College resident, I have a lot of issues LOL. It's nice to read about issues that are relevant to what is going on in our town. I also find the posts about Penn State football and our coaching situations very fascinating. I will most definitely continue to follow this blog due to the new perspectives on the always changing issues that occur in Penn State. I am an avid Penn State enthusiast that follows what's going on with their teams and the program as well. I have very strong views on our current coaching situation, and find it entertaining to hear someone different speak on their thoughts. So in other words I praise this blog and enjoy it very much.

An offense revived!

Penn State finally started a quarterback full time, and it turned out to be a great move. McGloin stepped out on to the field and threw a bomb on their first possession for a touch down and they never looked back, Offensively that is. They did finally get their offense going, but their defense looked pretty shaky in the first half, giving up 24 points. The good news is that they were leading at the half 27-24, but they needed a last minute touchdown in the first half to do so. In any case it was great to see Penn State finally break out offensively, and keep your fingers crossed. They're leading their division in the Big Ten at 5-0.

A Close Call?

I just want to give some positive aspects of the last game against Purdue, because I haven't bee too positive about this season. Penn State had this game under control throughout the entire game. They did get off to a slow start with Boldin, but that's expected. When the game gets into the fourth quarter Penn State had a 20-12 lead and they were driving with McGloin. Penn State was really about to put the game out of reach on the Purdue 23 when McGloin got intercepeted on a freak play in the endzone and Purdue runs the ball back to Penn State territory. This was an unimaginable interception off the foot of the Purdue player that should have never happened. Ultimately Penn State would win 23-18, which made the game very close at the end, but this should have never been the case. If this play doesn't happen Penn State easily wins by at least two scores. I just want to ensure all Penn State fans that they will go into Northwestern with a chip on their shoulder and they will come out of there with a win.
