Closing the dollar theater!

I know this happened a couple of months ago, but I'm still disappointed about the closing of the dollar theater. I'm must have went to a movie the last week it was open and not even realize it, because about two weeks later someone was talking about it. This was the last cheap way of enjoying a movie or just going out for a good time. I would always wait for a movie to come out to the dollar theater, instead of spending 10 bucks for to watch a movie I might not even like. So this is my tribute to the dollar theater, thanks for being here and you will be missed.

A good or bad October for Penn State?

The next game for Penn State breaks open the Big Ten season with Indiana being the first match up. To say the least Penn State has looked shaky in its first four games. With a bad loss to Alabama and a less than convincing win against Temple Penn State really needs to have a confident game against its first Big Ten opponent Indiana. The upside is that Penn State looks like their starting to click on offense with a 34-6 victory against Eastern Michigan. The other positive notion is that Temple looks like they're a better team than expected, but it doesn't matter what anyone else does, it matters how Penn State plays in October. We'll see if the tricks on us, or the Penn State faithful have a treat by the time Halloween rolls around.

Have another drink.

Penn State is rated as one of the largest, high-ranking party schools in the nation. This is not so great with Penn State's image being "success with honor", but the beer and liquor stores think it's great. I really do wonder how much the beer the distributors go through on a football weekend, or even during the week? It's really just an annoyance to go through downtown State College on a Saturday with the obnoxious people in town. Not every one is bad about it, and some people can enjoy a few drinks without carrying on. The problem is that theirs an overwhelming amount of people that act wild and carry on like, well, assholes. I really do wonder how many drunks per capita we have in this town?

Still issues at QB, but getting better.

So Penn State football is starting to come into form, but I still don't like this QB sub back and forth. I will say that it looks like their offense is finally clicking though, because they're putting some points on the board. What I don't like is the fact that these two quarterback's have such different styles of playing, the rest of the offense is having a tough time adjusting to the opposing styles. I would prefer McGloin in there as the main starter just because he's a pocket passer, and the way that Penn State plays it favors the run game and pocket-passing style. Boldin has quickness and in a scrambling type of wildcat offense that's great. Either way I'll settle for either QB starting and staying in the whole game.
